What Should I Expect at the First Appointment?

The first appointment will not be the “talk therapy” session that most people think of when thinking about therapy. Instead, it will include a diagnostic interview, a safety assessment, and us discussing confidentiality, privacy, expectations, and other important topics about therapy before we start treatment. If you have any questions at this first appointment, absolutely feel free to ask!  The following appointments after the first will be more like the talk therapy. There you will be able to go into further detail about any issues or concerns that you have.
