Regular session fees range from $110/hr to $150/hr. In addition to weekly appointments, I charge $100.00/hr for other professional services you may need, though we will break down the hourly cost if we work for periods of less than one hour. Other services include report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 10 minutes, consulting with other professionals with your permission, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and the time spent performing any other service you may request of me. If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for all of my professional time, including preparation and transportation costs, even if I am called to testify by another party. [Because of the difficulty of legal involvement, I charge $175.00/hr for preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding.]
No Show/Cancellation Fee Policy
If psychotherapy is begun, we will usually schedule one 45-60-minute session per week at a time we agree on, although some sessions may be longer, shorter, or more frequent. Once a session is scheduled, you will be expected to pay $100.00 unless you provide 24 hours [1 day] advanced notice of cancellation [unless you and we agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control]. If you do not provide a 24-hour notice of cancellation, the appointment will be considered a “late cancellation.” If you do not arrive for your appointment within 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, the appointment is considered a “no-show.” If your appointment is considered a late cancellation or a no-show, the time that was held for your appointment will be forfeited and subjected to the $100 fee. It is important to note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for canceled or no-show sessions. In the event that you do not show up for a session without canceling, I reserve the right to terminate our therapeutic relationship based on lack of attendance of sessions and may bill you personally for the $100.00 late cancellation/no-show fee. All scheduled appointments with Free Thinking Counseling are subjected to these fees and you are responsible for scheduling and canceling your appointments.
